Campaigns for Nuclear Disarmament

Campaigns for Nuclear Disarmament

  • Seriously, Time to Stop

Seriously, Time to Stop was formed in Toronto, Canada in 2008 with the goal of eliminating nuclear weapons. Although the issue of nuclear weapons is not a new one, the fact that this man-made problem is patently solvable was irresistible to our founding members.

Seriously, Time to Stop is committed to spreading the word about nuclear weapons and finding ways to let governments know what you think about this issue.
  • The Canadian Network to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (CNANW)

The Canadian Network to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (CNANW) was established in 1996 by representatives of national organizations that share the conviction that nuclear weapons are immoral and should be abolished.

CNANW and its members do work to educate the public, and conduct seminars, consultations and meetings with the public, officials and politicians in Canada and abroad. All this work is with the purpose of advancing the cause of nuclear disarmament and moving the world toward abolition of nuclear weapons.
  • International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN)

The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons is a global grassroots movement for total nuclear disarmament through a legally binding and verifiable Nuclear Weapons Convention. Such a treaty would ban the production, testing, use and possession of nuclear weapons, and establish a timeframe for their elimination.

ICAN was launched in 2007 as an initiative of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), a global federation of medical professionals. Today more than 200 organizations in 50 countries are part of ICAN and thousands of individuals have signed their pledge for a nuclear-weapon-free world.
