Culture of Peace -Press Release Each day media sources display our troubling world, filled with stories of violence, war and disappearing resources – all of which tend to support and condone a culture of war. Our own country has migrated from a country known for peacekeeping to now openly acting in combat roles. This is part of a worldview leading to a culture of war. Yet quite a different scenario is possible when we adopt a positive set of principles inherent in a culture of peace. The world with a culture of peace would be a fair place, where humans are central and democracy prevails. Can we move to this worldview as recommended by Douglas Roche, renowned parliamentarian, diplomat, UN representative, and educator, in his book The Human Right to Peace? Full story
